Tourism in the Madinah region

The Madinah region is rich in religious monuments and shrines that give the region a distinctive character, which makes millions of Muslims, from all over the world, wish to visit it. The region is also distinguished by the presence of many ancient monuments dating back to ancient times, especially those that tell the story of the emergence of the holy Islamic religion and its spread east and west. The historical places in the Madinah, in particular, and throughout the region in general, are important landmarks for visitors, which gives them a great historical value added to their status and great religious value in the hearts of Muslims, as well as making them very important pillars and high cultural landmarks.

Yanbu Province

Al-Ula Province

Al-Ula Province is rich in ancient antiquities, especially those of Madain Saleh. There are sites of great importance for internal and external tourism, as they represent cultural and historical significance, whether for the people of the Kingdom or for its visitors from the pilgrims and Umrah performers who wish to know about the antiquities and history of the previous prophets.

Khaybar Province

The city of Khaybar is an ancient city from before Islam, famous for its commercial and agricultural activity. It was called Riq al-Hijaz because of the abundance of water and fertile lands in it. The number of springs there is about 300, and its waters are warm in winter and cold in summer. The city of Khaybar is rich in ancient monuments, especially forts and dams, where there are seven dams.

Badr Governorate

The city of Badr was known before Islam, as it was a station for trade caravans heading to the Levant, and it is considered a large market of the famous Arab markets. It was named after Badr bin Quraish Al-Ghafari, the first to settle there. The city of Badr is about 150 km away from Madinah and about 25 km away from the Red Sea coast.
